About My Second Home Nursery in Glasgow
We care for children from 6 weeks to 5 years and use Pre-Birth to Three, Realising the Ambition & Curriculum for Excellence documents. Our nursery curriculum revolves around putting the children at the forefront of all our activities and decisions ensuring their needs, interests, and development are central to every aspect of their learning journey, setting them on a pathway to future academic success.
Who We Are
My Second Home Nursery, founded in 2017 in Glasgow by Angela and her daughter, nearly a decade after the establishment of their first centre, Healthy Steps, conveniently located just around the corner. Driven by a deep-rooted commitment to providing accessible and affordable childcare options for families, Angela and her daughter embarked on this journey with a genuine care and passion for nurturing and educating children.

At our nurseries, we firmly believe in placing the child at the centre of everything we do, ensuring that each child has a pathway to future academic success. We prioritise creating a nurturing environment where staff are caring, genuine, and warm, aligning with our own values of kindness and empathy.

Merging Teaching and Childcare
We believe that it’s never too early to start learning and that it’s vital to always present opportunities for children to learn and grow as soon as they start at our setting.
We have four rooms which include a 0-2-year-olds baby room, a large playroom for 2-5 year-olds, a Reggio Emila-inspired room also for 2-5 year-olds, an additional quiet room and a beautiful landscaped garden which extends children's learning outdoors.
By developing our programs with curriculum experts and childcare specialists, we’ve been able to hone in on what makes early education a success and created a learning program that allows our children to enter school seamlessly.
